Ken Berger of CBS Sports reports that the Knicks are preparing a huge deal for Tyson Chandler.  He also reports "one scenario in Chandler deal has Billups being traded. Amnesty also a possibility."  This would be a huge deal, and aside from the deal itself, it would lead you to wonder what ramifications it would have with Chris Paul.  Would there be a way to trade players now to get him?  Or would this signal the end of the Knicks hopes of signing him this year.  We will have to wait and see what plays out.Update 4:02: Deal is on the "1 yard line", reportedly a 4 year, $60 million deal.

It doesn't look like the Marlins deal is going to hold up when compared to the deal by the Angels that is a 10 years worth over $210 million and a Cardinals offer reportedly over $220 million.  There is also a "mystery" team involved in the bidding.

12/8/2011 9:55 a.m - Yu Darvish
Darvish will become available for MLB bidding today.  The righty posted a 1.44 ERA, 276 k's, and 36 walks last year in the Japanese professional league.  It will be interesting to see if the Yankees get into the bidding, and if so, how high will they go for the 25 year old pitcher.

12/5/2011 3:06 p.m - Brett Favre

It is being reported that Favre would listen if Chicago called him.  That's all.  If I were calling the shots in Chicago though, what would I have to lose?  He has reportedly been keeping in football shape. If he has then if it makes the difference in making the playoffs or not, then why not go for it?
