http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/gg160/cdislander36/football-6.jpg The free falling Buffalo Bills have fallen a bit more. Fred Jackson was placed on injured reserve, ending his season. He is out with a fractured fibula. Jackson had reportedly been sidelined with a calf injury, and had left Sunday's game in the third quarter. X-rays earlier this week were negative, and yesterday, Jackson was ruled out for week 12. Now he has been shut down for the entire season with s a broken leg. C.J. Spiller will now be given a chance to be the lead back for the Bills. Buffalo also signed Tashard Choice off waivers earlier today. Jackson was having a career year, and it will end with him totaling 927 rushing yards (three 100 yard games) and 5 rushing touchdowns. In addition, he racked up 31 receptions for 215 yards and 2 touchdowns. He is 3rd overall for rushing yards this season. It is a shame to see Jackson's season end after providing a feel good story in the first half of the season. He had a tremendous season unfortunately cut short by an injury in week 11. |
